Polished, poised, and all-around quite perfect are just a few of the terms critics and consumers use to describe the 2020 Toyota Highlander. The Toyota Highlander has always been one of the most popular and best-selling vehicles in its class. Now, with a full redesign, the Highlander is poised to generate even more attention among consumers. There are several appealing 2020 Toyota Highlander trim levels available so that you can choose anything from a basic SUV to a luxury-laden car that exudes style inside and out. Along with its exterior, which is now more sculpted, aerodynamic, and overall more sophisticated than before, the latest Highlander has an updated interior that includes more standard conveniences and a slight design modification to increase the Highlander’s volume of cargo space and passenger space. Improvements start from the base level up this year, as more technology comes standard this year than before. For the first time, consumers can enjoy using Android Auto and Apple CarPlay at all trim levels, as these amenities are now included across the board. Learn more about the latest Highlander at Diehl Toyota of Hermitage, a dealership near Hubbard Mercer Pittsburgh New Castle.
The L is the base trim level of the 2020 Highlander. It gets the lineup off to a solid start with a variety of standard and optional conveniences and amenities. The L has a bench-style seating arrangement with a total seating capacity for eight individuals. It is powered by a strong and responsive V6 engine that runs on regular gasoline. This engine reaches up to 295 HP. Front-wheel drive is the standard drivetrain with the L and all of the Highlander trims, but you can also opt for all-wheel drive across the board. Technology is a notable point of the L, which includes an infotainment screen that supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and five USB charging ports across the cabin. The L benefits from a smart key entry mechanism with a push-button start. Its standard safety technology includes the Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 package, which contains an assortment of intelligent driver-assist safety aids. The comprehensive safety system includes pre-collision avoidance with pedestrian detection, dynamic radar cruise control that adjusts your car’s speed based on the car ahead, lane-keep assist, lane trace assist, lane departure warning, road sign assist, and automatic high beams.
The LE is the next of the 2020 Highlander trim levels. The LE also has three rows of bench-style seats that hold eight occupants altogether. There are some more standard features in the LE, and it also comes with an exterior that has more accents and conveniences. The LE gets a distinguished appearance on the front end with the inclusion of LED fog lights as a standard feature. It also gets a power-operated liftgate with a height-adjustable setting to make loading and unloading your cargo easier than ever. The liftgate also adds jam protection for safety. More safety technology is added in the cabin, including blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert. A leather-trimmed steering wheel is available to give the LE a more luxurious appearance.
The XLE is the next trim level in the Highlander lineup this year. The XLE, as Toyota accurately states, is designed for everyday comfort thanks to the addition of even more creature comforts and amenities. While the first two trims have standard seating for eight, the XLE gets a standard seating capacity for seven individuals by swapping out the bench-style seat in the second row for captain’s chairs that reduce its seating capacity to seven. SofTex-trimmed seats in the front and back rows give the trim an extra level of comfort. The XLE also includes a tilt-sliding moonroof that you can easily open or close with the press of a button. It also has a wireless charging pad.
The Limited is the next stop in the list of 2020 Highlander trim levels. The Limited has all of the standard features that the previous trims offer and a few more amenities as well. The Limited comes with a hands-free power-operated liftgate that has jam protection for safety and convenience. The audio system is upgraded to a JBL stereo system with a 1200W output and 11 speakers. The seats are covered with a plush leather trim. The front seats are also heated and ventilated for ultimate personal comfort in all weather conditions. This trim’s infotainment system includes navigation. Its exterior gets a slight modification with the addition of larger 20-inch wheels.
The Limited is followed by the Platinum, which is the top trim level available in the gasoline-powered version of the Highlander. The Limited has all the features in the Platinum, and it also gets a panoramic parking camera, a digital rearview mirror, and a larger standard infotainment screen with a 12.3-inch display screen. The infotainment system also gets a head-up display system for safety and convenience.
